The latter retain the death penalty in law but have not carried out any executions for the past 10 years or more.
Most of the countries that have a death penalty use it on murderers, and for other serious crimes such as rape orterrorism. Other countries especially ones with Authoritarian or Totalitarian governments, however, also use it for smaller crimes like theft, drugs, or for saying bad.

For me the death penalty can be a business. why?
Death Penalty ,Does not mean much on Drug pushers,cause they are not scared to die.
They are Already Killing each Other.
So what we could do,is kill the bankers who handle the Drug money.
to Slow the Traffic.
But Since Death Penalty is Here and a lot of People Agree with it,i say we make it more Entertaining,Market it Correctly to gain money for the country and feed the Homeless.
Instead of Boring Death penalties like Lethal injection,and Electrocution i say,
We Should bring back Crucifixion,lets Crucify the people to make it more entertaining,And do this every Half Time of Soccer Games.And Get Sponsors from Wood Crafting Companies.
Its Been to long since we Burnt people at the stake ,i say we bring back Burning people at the stake.DO this Every Sunday mornings, let the Mob watch and bet on how long he/she will survive.
Beheading ,i say we Do the beheading up a hill and let the head roll down to one of 5 numbered holes,and let the Mob bet on Which hole will it go in. but it will be to quick i say we use a handsaw to do the beheading or to make it more entertaining and make it last much longer i say we use Kitchen Fork to do the beheading.

A more modern way to do the Death Penalty ,i say,We take a tiny Nuclear Bomb and stick it up to the guys ass,and let it explode in front of a crowd during Basketball halftimes.
Let the people pay for the tickets to watch this Shows,And Use the money to Feed the Homeless.
